Incomestead is a governance engine for a self-directed book: every week it reads your real positions against your own written policy — allocation bands, margin zones, income coverage — and reports what moved and what it asks of you. It recommends. You decide, and you act, always.

It is not open yet. This page is the honest way to be told when it is.

What the alpha actually is

A small first group, running the engine against their own holdings, on the weekly cadence the tools already describe. The point of an alpha is that the governance is real and the software is young — you would be reading genuine reports on genuine money, and finding the edges of a product that has been run in earnest by one book and not yet by yours.

Everything the engine does is a recommendation. It never trades, never executes, and never moves money — that is a permanent design boundary, not a limitation of the current version.

What it is not

Four things it is not

Not advice. It is general educational software. It does not know your circumstances and it is not a substitute for a professional who does.

Not a robo-advisor. It picks nothing. You bring the targets; it measures you against them.

Not a brokerage. It holds nothing and cannot place an order.

Not open to everyone yet, and not on a promised date. I would rather tell you nothing than tell you a month that slips.

What to expect if you join

Two separate things, and you choose whether you want the second:

Signing up sends you a confirmation link. Nothing starts until you click it.

If you would rather see the thinking before you hand over an address, the six free tools are complete and ungated, and the figures you type into them are never sent to us.

Incomestead recommends. You decide.
